“The Salford Music Cooperative was founded by John Herring in March 2010, its goal, to bring together a membership of people involved in and around the music industry in order to support the development of grass roots music in Salford. It’s a project aimed at making the most of the venues within Salford so that musicians can share experiences and skills and turn the city into a hub for musical performance. The Cooperative is a not-for-profit venture and looks to invest back into the community of Salford by putting on events and developing a vibrant music scene in Salford.
